BSXfalls as KeyTech slips

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday fell one point, or 0.03 percent, to 3,630.31.

Pushing down the Index were KeyTech shares, as they lost 0.5 percent, or five cents on trading of 2,700 shares.

KeyTech is the telecommunications holding company that owns Logic, BTC and Mobility, as well as stakes in Bermuda CableVision and QuoVadis.

Butterfield Bank saw 6,364 shares change hands while its $43.50 price didn?t move. And Belco Holdings Ltd. shareholders bought and sold 1,000 of the utility company?s shares unchanged at $41.

The Bermuda Insurance Index closed up 9.14 points or 0.84 percent to 1,100.56 as most publicly traded Bermuda-based insurers saw their stocks gain, reversing losses over the last week.
