LONDON (Bloomberg) ? Bermuda-registered mining company Aquarius Platinum Ltd. last week reported record production in its fiscal fourth-quarter.

Its five mines produced 214,487 ounces in the three months ended June 30, 129,162 ounces of which are attributable to the company, Aquarius, a miner of platinum and palladium in South Africa and Zimbabwe, said.

Quarterly output rose eight percent from the previous quarter, the company said.

Shares of Aquarius have almost doubled this year, valuing the company at 761.7 million pounds ($1.42 billion). They rose 33 pence, or 3.8 percent, to 908 pence in London on Thursday.
