LONDON (Bloomberg) ? Bermuda-based Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd. last week agreed to buy a vessel to carry dry-bulk commodities such as coal and grain for $30 million, boosting its fleet to seven.

The seven-year-old MV has a capacity of about 45,600 deadweight metric tons and will be delivered in April, Excel said in a statement.
