Terror alert

Airline passengers at Bermuda International Airport remove water bottles from hand luggage after security was heightened today in the wake of news that British security services had foiled a terrorist plot to blow up passenger aircraft during transatlantic flights. Passengers flying to the US from Bermuda were barred from carrying liquids in hand baggage following reports the plotters planned to use liquid explosives. At midday, flights were coming in from the US and the British Airways flight from Gatwick, England was still scheduled to arrive this evening, although delays were expected. Photo by Tamell Simons
