Paget 0 Dandy Town 8

Janeiro Tucker scored four goals and Carlos Smith two as Dandy Town ran out comfortable winners over their First Division opponents at White Hill Field in the second round of the FA Cup yesterday.

Tucker broke the deadlock in the seventh minute before two misses by David Hunt denied Paget an equaliser and then a go-ahead goal in the ninth and 11th minutes.

With the wind in Paget's favour, Hunt's first effort from four yards was kicked straight at the Town goalkeeper. Two minutes later he put another effort wide from just six yards as Town were let off again.

Town finally cushioned their lead in the 38th minute when Carlos Smith scored his first goal . . . thanks in part to former Town player Chris Anderson who sent the ball straight to Tucker from a goal-kick. Tucker laid the ball off to Smith who beat the keeper in a one-on-one.

Gregg Foggo added Town's third in the 41st minute to give them a 3-0 lead at the half.

Paget were overwhelmed after the interval as Town scored five more times, Smith in the 54th minute and Tucker in the 64th and 81st minutes to complete his hat-trick. Kevin Hurdle added the seventh in the 85th before Tucker struck his fourth to close out the scoring a minute later.

Hunt was the only player booked, for persistent infringement.

Somerset Trojans 4 BAA Wanderers 0

Somerset Trojans broke out of their recent slump to beat Commercial side BAA Wanderers convincingly.

All the goals came in the first half at Somerset as the home team took the lead in the 11th minute with a Shawn Riley goal following a cross from the right. Damon Ming added the second two minutes later when he converted another cross, before Rohaan Simons made it 3-0 in the 18th minute. Riley's second goal of the match in the 36th minute made it 4-0 and effectively killed off the visitors.

Somerset dominated the match throughout and almost added a fifth in the 76th minute when Richard Scott's effort hit the crossbar.

There were four bookings in the match, John Doran of Wanderers for persistent infringement, Gary Stewart and Richard Scott following a tussle and Riley for a deliberate handball.
