Event to raise awareness of aftermath of road accidents

A host of organisations have joined forces to raise awareness about the aftermath of a road accident and to give support to victims and their families.

The Bermuda Road Safety Council and Sandys Parish Council have partnered with the Bermuda Red Cross, the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) as well as victims of collisions to encourage people to talk about the psychological effects of being involved in a collision, sustaining life altering injuries or losing a loved one.

The free event, called The Road to Recovery, will be held on Monday, August 30, from 6pm to 8pm at BUNA Coffee House (the old Burrows Plumbing building), which is located at Hog Bay Level, Sandys. Light refreshments will be provided.

People interested in attending the Road to Recovery event should e-mail bdarsc@gmail.com.
