Makeover for Washington Lane will feature local art
A lane is to get a new surface and lights as part of an upgrade by the City of Hamilton.
Washington Lane, which connects Church and Reid Streets in the city, will be repaved and the lights replaced from the middle of the month until the end of October.
The lane will remain open while the work goes on, but access to some businesses may be disrupted.
Charles Waters, the assistant city engineer, said: “Washington Lane is already a unique area in the City, with particularly high foot traffic.
“Through this project we wanted to create a further point of interest along the lane with the addition of Bermudian artwork, thus making it an enduring palette for artists to showcase their art.”
