Sun Life International in new market moves

Sun Life has launched a new public website for its 25-year-old Bermuda company, Sun Life International, which was established to deliver offshore life insurance solutions to high net worth markets around the world.

Sun Life International is a part of the global Fortune 500 company Sun Life, with superior financial strength ratings and $1.3 trillion in assets under management.

The new website comes with other changes, including a new CEO in Bermuda, Canadian Donna Cotter, who most recently was the global head of strategic partnerships for HSBC, based in Hong Kong.

Sun Life’s Bermuda office provides life insurance products offered by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (Bermuda branch). The products are sold to international high net worth clients.

The new website is aimed at business audiences that include brokers, private bankers, the media, regulators as well as current and potential clients.

Ms Cotter said: “We are pleased to present our new public website today. Built completely in-house, the site lets us tell the story of our brand and share our mission of helping high net worth clients around the world achieve lifetime financial security.”

Chief high net worth officer of Sun Life International Michael Grob said: “We serve clients in over 80 countries around the world. It is of utmost importance for a business of our size to have a modern, informative website in various languages.

“We are confident that our distribution partners and clients around the world will appreciate the opportunity to view our content in their native language — traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Spanish.”

The company said that the new website launch is a new step on the journey to modernise the brand and promote Sun Life as a global leader in high net worth life insurance markets.
