Man arrested in wake of Robin Hood murders

A man was arrested after police with a firearms warrant raided a house on Thursday night.

It is understood the search was in connection with the double gun murder at the Robin Hood bar three days earlier.

The man was arrested at a house in Euclid Avenue, Pembroke.

A police spokesman said officers attended the property at about 6.20pm in connection with “an ongoing investigation”.

But the operation is believed to be linked to the double murder on Tuesday evening when two masked men shot dead two people and wounded two others at the Robin Hood pub on Richmond Road in Pembroke.

The spokesman said no weapons were seized but a suspect was taken into custody for questioning.

Police apologised to local people for the inconvenience caused by the large-scale police operation.
