Warning over severe weather conditions

People are being warned to expect severe weather conditions this afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Security said the Bermuda Weather Service (BWS) had issued a severe weather watch for this afternoon.
“According to the BWS, an active cold front approaching from the west will spread showers, possibly heavy at times. Severe gusts may also form and the potential exists for thunderstorms.
“The front exits this evening with settling weather across the area for the remainder of the week.
“The Ministry notes that the public should take the necessary safety precautions, and motorists should exercise extra caution during their afternoon commutes.”
