Two men rescued after being overwhelmed by toxic fumes cleaning tank

Two men have been taken to hospital tonight after apparently being overcome by toxic fumes while working in a tank.
The men were found unconscious in a tank on Radnor Road, in Hamilton Parish, shortly before 7.30pm.
Fire Service personnel and an ambulance were called to the scene and the men were taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service said initial reports suggested that the men had become “overwhelmed” while working in the tank.
The spokesman added: “On arrival, fire crews found two men unconscious. Both men have been transported to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
