Bermudian Airways asks for incorporation as a company

An application has been made to incorporate Bermudian Airways Ltd as a limited liability company.

A legal notice said that Derek Leroy Anderson II had applied to to incorporate the firm.

The notice, submitted by BM Corporate Services, was posted under the Companies Act 1981 to signal an application had been made.

It added: “The company shall have unrestricted objects and the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person.”

BM Corporate Services, a corporate, secretarial and administration services company based in Sofia House in Hamilton, declined to comment on the application.

A spokeswoman for The Solo Group of Companies, which includes BM Corporate Services, said: “Our client does not wish to be interviewed by the media at this preliminary stage, but will get in touch with the newspaper if the matter progresses to a point where he feels the public should be informed.”

Lawrence Scott, the transport minister, and airport operators Skyport also declined to comment.

The Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority, the industry regulators, did not respond to a request for comment.
