After having got past Jennifer Clarke and Rhonda Switzer 15-2, 15-10 in the semi-finals, Somerville and Dragon went on to win a close final 15-11, 15-13.

The men's A final proved even closer as Kelly Hartnett and Dan Fronchak needed three sets to defeat Mark Monaghan and Adam Wong 11-6, 10-12, 11-9.

Hartnett and Fronchak had earlier beaten Brian Smith and Frank Staten in the semi-finals 11-8, 11-8.

In contrast, the men's B final proved a one-sided affair as Barry Mah and Bogdan Szfraneic breezed past Mark Nash and Joe Teixeira 11-2, 11-0.

The last doubles tournament of the fall season will be a coed event this Saturday morning at Bernard Park, starting at 10 a.m.

Competition will be divided between an A and B division, with prizes going to first and second in both. A serving competition will also be held and prizes handed out for the best Hallowe'en costumes.

SOCCER SOC Bermuda's Youth soccer season kicks off this Saturday with matches slated in the Mini-Minor A and B Divisions, the Minor Division and the Bantam Division.

A total of 23 teams have registered for the Mini-Minors, 12 for the Minors and eight for the Bantams.

CRICKET CRI Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association will hold a meeting at the Department of Youth and Sport office tonight, starting at 7.30 p.m.
