KPMG school challenge begins its last month

The last month of the KPMG 17th Annual Senior School Investment Challenge finds the BHS team Business of Babylon strongly at the top of the leaderboard, after earlier leaders (DollaBillz2024 from Bermuda Institute) suffered a tumble in the past two months.

Meanwhile, SaltusGroup2 have repositioned themselves also as a favourite in second place.

The investment challenge pits teams from senior schools against the market, and one another, after each being provided with $100,000 in “paper money” trading assets.

Their trades are recorded over the six-month challenge, which began in November and ends this month, with a prize presentation expected next month.

While the students are trading with virtual money, the end of the programme brings real cash prizes for the schools placing first, second and third — $10,000, $6,000 and $4,000, respectively.

The funds can be used by the schools for a variety of educational initiatives.
