There will be limited access for traffic entering King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Monday owing to the removal of heavy equipment.

A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Hospitals Board said there will be no through traffic at the hospital from Point Finger Road to Berry Hill for the entire day.

Anyone needing access to services in the acute care wing must enter the campus via Berry Hill Road and use the visitor parking there.

She said: “Pedestrian access to the general wing will be at the ambulance bay at the former Emergency Department or via the ACW main entrance.

“The access restrictions are due two separate crane lifts of heavy equipment on the campus. For your safety and the safety of others, please comply with erected barriers and directions of personnel at each site.”
