City’s outdoor movie night cancelled as bad weather forecast

An outdoor cinema scheduled for tonight by the City of Hamilton has been cancelled due to forecast of bad weather.

Fresh Air Films had no alternative date because of the Christmas season and other commitments.

Jessica Astwood, the City director of marketing and communications, said it was “the tough yet best decision” to protect audio and visual equipment with rain approaching on Friday top of the present cold front affecting the island.

She apologised and said the City would arrange its next Fresh Air Films in the new year.
