Rider taken to hospital after East Broadway collision

Collision

A rider was taken to hospital from Hamilton last night with a serious leg injury after a two-vehicle crash on East Broadway at about 7pm.

Police said the male rider was attended to at the scene by EMTs and transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Traffic diversions were in effect at the junction of Spurling Hill as well as Cavendish road while the scene was being processed.

Witnesses said the collision left both vehicles extensively damaged.
