Gorham’s plans major warehouse expansion
One of Bermuda’s biggest retailers plans to significantly expand its warehouse, according to a recent planning application.
The application, submitted on behalf of Gorham’s Management and Design Ltd, proposes the demolition of its existing single-storey warehouse and construction of three new three-storey warehouse buildings, which would be connected to the business’s retail building.
The planning documents state that the new warehouse addition would be more than 20ft away from the neighbouring Dandy Town Field and would be the same blue and white colour as the existing warehouse.
The documents also state that the parking area at the store would not be affected and the new layout would provide more room for trucks to manoeuvrer.
The existing lumber warehouse on the site would not be impacted by the project.
