Students find meaning in abstract art show

Warwick Academy students recently visited the Bermuda National Gallery’s “Simplicity of Form: Unfolding Abstraction” exhibit which helps to bring abstract art to life.
The students took part in a tour and education programme that included being collected and returned to school free of charge as part of the exhibits partnership with the Hamilton Princess.
A Gallery spokesman said: “This programme is running now through April 7. For any teachers, principals, parents, PTA’s or students who would like to engage this programme please co-ordinate through your school and reach out to Rehana Packwood at education@bng.bm for more information or call 295-9428.”

Yesterday was the first day of the BNG education initiative in collaboration with Hamilton Princess around school tours of their new exhibition Simplicity of Form: Unfolding Abstraction which is a selection of artwork from the Green family's private collection. Any school that wants to visit can sign up for a tour and a minibus will bring them in free of charge. This runs twice a day for the next 10 weeks.
