A total of 7,600 Bank of Butterfield shares worth $14,440 traded today on the Bermuda Stock Exchange in the only transaction of the day.

The bank’s price was unchanged at $1.90.

The trade came after Butterfield completed its buyout of Canadian bank CIBC’s 80 million shares in the bank at $1,50 per share this week.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 1,320.81.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 11.52 points (0.73 per cent) at 1,564.16.
