Police are looking for a man who pushed a woman off her cycle on Cedar Park Road, Devonshire shortly after midnight on Sunday.

The woman reported that the man - whom she knew - shouted at her as she rode by around midnight. When she stopped, he asked twice to borrow her cycle before he pushed her off. She was not injured.

Described as being dark-skinned with braided hair and between six feet and six feet three inches tall, and is thought to be in his 20s. The cycle was returned to the woman yesterday.

Caught in the act I

A Smith's Parish man was caught in the act as he attempted to steal from a guest house.

The 40-year old man was apprehended by Police as he fled the Hamilton parish guest property yesterday morning.

Police were called around 4.30 a.m. when the complainant, who had heard noises outside his room, discovered the man rifling through drawers in the office next door.

A stolen motorcycle was also found nearby. Believed to have been used by the suspect, it was seized and impounded.

Caught in the act II

Police crept up on a busy thief and arrested him on Sunday as he ransacked the Mayne's Furniture showroom on King Street.

The 55-year-old was caught in an upstairs room when he was arrested and taken into custody.

Police probe break-in

A thief escaped with $700 in cash and several pieces of gold jewellery from a Hamilton Parish residence on Monday.

Police were called to the Judkin Lane home around 6 p.m. where the complainant said the culprit broke in sometime earlier that day.

Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Neighbourhood hit

Thieves targeted Mission Crescent, Paget on Monday, getting away with cash and a Playstation 2.

At 4.30 p.m. on Monday Police were called to a Mission Crescent residence, where the complainant stated that an unknown culprit broke in sometime between 12 noon and 4 p.m. that day.

The thief made off with foreign currency, namely ?180, 300, and ten Canadian dollars.

Police also reported two other incidents of breaking and entering in the area that day in which the thief or thieves stole in total approximately $15 in cash, jewellery, and a Playstation 2.

Pumps stolen

Two water pumps were stolen from the Four Star Pizza restaurant on Middle Road, Warwick sometime between November 18 and 25, Police have reported.
