A Southampton man was stabbed when he interrupted four youths trying to steal a motor cycle.

The 45-year-old arrived at his residence on Landmark Drive on Friday at 10.45 p.m. when a neighbour told him that some young men were trying to steal a cycle from the parking lot.

He approached the group of four and one of them rode off on a dark coloured bike while the other three remained behind. One of the men then threatened the Southampton man before punching him in the face and stabbing him in his left arm before running off with the other two culprits.

They were described as four dark-skinned men, believed to be in their 20s, with the main suspect being described as approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall weighing between 150 and 160 pounds, wearing a black, short-sleeved T-shirt and a black, open-face helmet. Police spoke to the victim while he was being treated at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

A spokesman for the Police said: “The Bermuda Police Service would advise, where possible, for individuals who observe suspicious people or activity in their neighbourhood to contact Police at 295-0011 or in an emergency situation to call 911.”

Police are also appealing for anyone with information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Pizzaman robbed at knifepoint

A Four Star Pizza employee was robbed at knifepoint on Friday evening.

The victim was delivering pizzas to a home on Friswell’s Road in Pembroke at 10.50 p.m. Friday when two men approached him and demanded money.

One of the men placed a knife at his throat while the victim handed him a quantity of cash, a Nokia cell phone along with the pizzas he was carrying. The victim was not injured and the thieves ran off.

They were described as two black men believed to be in their 20s, wearing grey helmets and black jackets. Anyone with information about the theft is urged to call Police at 295-0011. Police report two break-insSomeone broke into a building in Smith’s Parish and stole a flat screen television.

Police report that sometime between 5.30 p.m. on Thursday and 7.30 a.m. on Friday, a Harrington Sound Road construction site was broken into, with a Panasonic 20-inch flat screen TV stolen from the property.

Police also attended a reported burglary at Rings Court in Warwick on Thursday. According to the home owner, someone broke in sometime between midnight and 7.10 a.m. that morning and took off with a quantity of cash.

Inquiries into both incidents are underway.
