Post Office to issue first day cover for coronation

The Bermuda Post Office’s Coronation first day cover

The Bermuda Post Office will issue a $35 stamp and first day cover to commemorate the coronation of the King.

Vance Campbell,t he Cabinet Office minister, said the Post Office will produce 1,000 first day covers for collectors.

He told the House of Assembly on Friday that the first day cover will be postmarked May 6, the day of the coronation.

Mr Campbell noted that Bermuda was the first nation to issue a King Charles commemorative stamp having issued an express stamp in March.
