That is the message from the First Church of God on Sound View Road in Somerset, which is hosting a Community Health Fair today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We believe it is important that the church encourage the community to live healthy lifestyles, and get fit in body, soul and spirit, so we anticipate having several hundred people attend,” a church spokesperson said.

The health fair will feature various stations providing information and/or testing on:[bul] Drug awareness and pharmaceutical briefing by Turning Point

l CPR and first aid demonstrations

[bul] Blood pressure check

[bul] Blood typing (Find out your blood type)

[bul] Diabetic testing

[bul] Nutrition services

[bul] Health/colon care

[bul] Fitness demonstrations by Positive Results Health & Wellness Studio

[bul] Therapeutic chair massage by Changing Tides Mobile Massage Service

[bul] Asthma awareness by Open Airways (2 p.m. to 4 p.m. only)Some of the stations will be interactive with exercise equipment on site.

In addition, healthy snacks, free give aways, and a fun castle for the children and the young at heart, will be available as this is an event for the entire family Admission is free.
