A: Surprisingly, onlookers have said that it’s Jolie who has the bad feelings. Aniston was, not surprisingly, devastated when Pitt left her for Jolie, a fact that was well-documented, but she seems to have moved on in her life. Jolie, reportedly, feels threatened by any continued contact by Pitt or his family with Aniston and was apparently angry when his mother, who was very fond of Aniston, chose to spend part of Father’s Day with her.
Q: Is it true that actress Lindsay Lohan is going to celebrate her birthday in Las Vegas sponsored by a vodka company? Why is she even bothering with rehab? — L.F.
A: That was, indeed, the plan for Lohan’s 21st-birthday bash this week at Las Vegas’ Pure nightclub. But cooler heads prevailed, and it was cancelled. Lohan is, at least for now, taking this latest stab at rehab more seriously.
Q: I think actor Zach Braff is so cute. Is he dating anyone? — M.S.
A: The answer, generally, is yes. At this writing, the socially active staf Scrubs<$> seems to be dating actress Shiri Appleby, who co-starred on the series Roswell. But he could be on to someone else by the time you readis.
Q: Is Rosie O’Donnell going to host The Price iight? — K.R.
A:<$> If she gets her wish, she will. Rosie has made no secret of her desire to take over for Bob Barker on the long-running game show and has even got an endorsement of sorts from Barker, although he says he isn’t playing favourites. As we go to press, she’s meeting with the show’s producers as well as others who want her back on TV. No word yet on which offer she’ll take.
Q: I saw a picture of actor John Travolta with his wife and daughter recently, but not his son. He does have a son, doesn’t he? Why wasn’t he in the picture? — L.P.
A: Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, do have a son, Jett, now 15, and only the Travoltas know why Jett is kept in the background. There are persistent stories that the teenager suffers from autism and his Scientologist parents won’t acknowledge it as such or seek treatment for it. They refuse to comment on the sition.
Q: Is that crazy judge from the Anna Nicole Smith case getting a TV show? — A.S.
A:<$> It seems like it. Although Judge Larry Seidlin — the overwrought judge who played to the cameras during that case — hasn’t officially confirmed it yet, his recent retirement from the bench and industry news that he’s signed a deal with CBS seem to suggest that something is in the works. Undoubtedly, it would be a Je Judy<$>-type courtroom show.
Q: I just read that guitarist Richie Sambora is out of rehab already. Did it work that quickly? —.K.
A:<$> Perhaps it has something to do with his band Bon Jovi’s upcoming tour schedule, but Sambora, who recently checked himself in after pretty much falling apart onstage, apparently only stayed in rehab for a week. He claims it was more a detox than a rehab.
Q: Is it really true that Kevin Federline is having a baby with his ex? What’s up with him? ̵K.G.
A:<$> According to his ex, actress Shar Jackson — with whom he already has two children — the rumour is absolutely not true. And she should know.
Q: I read somewhere that Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter is going to act too. Is that true? R F.V.
A:<$> It is. Rumer Willis, a regular on the LA night spot scene, is set to co-star with her dad and Mischa Barton in a film set in a Catholic school, called Assassination of a High Sch President<$>. She has appeared in her parents’ films before, such as her mom’s>Striptease<$> and her dad’s The We Nine Yards<$>.
Q: I just saw a picture of singer Jessica Simpson, and she looked a lot thinner. Did she lose weight? — B.D.
A: She did. Apparently, a bit of overeating lately left Simpson feeling a bit chunkier than she wanted, so she enlisted celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, who put her on a 1,300-calorie-a-day-plus-workout diet. She reportedly dropped 25 pounds in about a month.
