The Royal Gazette/BSX Index inched closer to an all-time high yesterday.

The Index closed on 5,179.15, a change of 28.93 (0.56 percent), almost 10 points behind the record figure of 5,188.66 posted on May 2.

Volume was 4,350 shares and turnover $47,215.

Butterfield Bank reached a 52-week high of $61, trading 350 shares to increase by 50 cents (0.8 percent).

Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd nudged up 25 cents (4 percent) to finish at 6.50.

The BSX Insurance Index closed on 1,338.05, representing an upwards shift of 6.01 (0.45 percent).
