Three members of Swan's Running Club returned to the Island this week after completing the 18th Midnight Sun Marathon in Troms|0xf8|, Norway — a night-time race which takes place in broad daylight because of the city's extreme northern longitude.
Veteran Calvin Steede excelled himself in the picturesque Norwegian city where the sun doesn't set for two months, coming in 17th place overall and fourth in his age group in a time of three hours, nine minutes and 34 seconds.
Elvin Thomas finished in 4.31.09 (13th in his age group) while Margaret Burgess-Howie placed first in her age group, in a time of 4.39.38.
