A 20-year old Devonshire man was charged with serious sexual assault yesterday in Magistrates’ Court.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was not required to enter a plea because the matter can only be heard in Supreme Court.

The incident allegedly took place on August 12 in Devonshire. The defendant was bailed in the amount of $5000 with one surety. He will reappear in court on June 27.
