Wharehouse broken into
Over the weekend, a thief gained entry into a warehouse and stole a variety of household goods.
On Sunday morning, Police attended a Wellington Street, St. George's property which had been burgled over the weekend. According to the owner, someone gained entry into the warehouse sometime between 4.55 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday taking tools, electrical equipment, paint and other goods.
In addition to this incident, there were also two other burglaries over the holiday weekend, including one in Pembroke and another in Warwick.
Police are also looking into a theft that took place on Friday at Arnold's Express on Church Street in Hamilton.
According to the complainant, sometime between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. that day, a blue canvas bag containing pre-paid phone cards were stolen from him by an unknown culprit.
In addition to these thefts, Police report that over the long weekend there were five people arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, 20 reported damage only road traffic collisions, ten road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 11 vehicles stolen.
