CURE to host race forum
The Community for Unity and Racial Equality (CURE) is to hold a race forum in collaboration with the StirFry Seminars and Consulting group.
All members of the community are invited to attend the summit starting Wednesday, June 6 to Sunday June 10, in the Paget Room at the Elbow Beach Hotel.
It's entitled, "Mindfully Resolving Conflicts" and is the third time CURE has partnered with StirFry Seminars and Consulting to provide Bermuda with critical opportunities for a dialogue on race and anti-racism activities.
The discussion is split into three parts and will include a two-day advance facilitation training session for people that attended the "Mindful Facilitator's Diversity" seminar held in 2005 and the "Mindfully Resolving Conflicts" summit in 2006.
The programme's latest objective aims at increasing CURE's pool of trainers and to access and develop people who want to become more involved in facilitating race relations discussions.
It is built on previous training experience and gives other group members the chance to further enforce their techniques.
And, it is also open to all those that are interested in learning how to talk about race and help others to open up about it.
