Medical Clinic patients to meet with Hospitals Board

The Bermuda Hospitals Board is to host a meeting for patients of the Medical Clinic tomorrow .The clinic, which is scheduled to close at the end of next month, has been at the centre of controversy after Premier Ewart Brown announced its closure in the Throne Speech last November.Last week, the Ministry of Health mailed a pamphlet detailing the transition plan for the Medical Clinic patients to every resident on the Island.

The clinic, which is scheduled to close at the end of next month, has been at the centre of controversy after Premier Ewart Brown announced its closure in the Throne Speech last November.

Last week, the Ministry of Health mailed a pamphlet detailing the transition plan for the Medical Clinic patients to every resident on the Island.

The meeting to be held in the first floor conference room at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital is for Medical Clinic patients only, however. To be allowed into the meeting Medical Clinic clients must bring their clinic ID.

The meeting will take place at 10.45 a.m. tomorrow.
