XL appoints Dupre to excess casualty post
XL Group yesterday appointed industry veteran Rebecca Dupre to a top underwriting post.
Ms Dupre has become senior vice-president and underwriting manager for excess casualty.
Ms Dupre, who has notched up 25 years in the insurance industry, will look after the management and development of XL’s insurance general liability portfolio, while strengthening relations with brokers, existing clients and potential ones.
She held the post of senior vice-president for casualty underwriting at Chartis Cat Excess Liability International, formerly AIG Starr Excess, before joining XL.
Chief excess casualty underwriter Carla Greaves said: “We are pleased to have Rebecca join XL. Her wealth of industry experience, well-established relationships with clients and brokers and her strong operations and process management skills will enhance the excess casualty team and allows us to provide greater value to the Bermuda market.”
Ms Dupre worked at several insurance firms in Connecticut and New York before moving to Bermuda.
She has an MBA and a BSc degree from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana.
