Traffic disruptions in Pembroke for striping work

Traffic disruptions are scheduled in Pembroke for Saturday (File image)

Two Pembroke roads will be subject to lane closures for work on Saturday.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advised the motoring public that the closures will take place on Crow Lane and Pitts Bay Road.

The work on Crow Lane will affect both inbound and outbound lanes near the traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, where striping will take place.

On Pitts Bay Road, the closure will take place along the bend across from the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club to allow for the striping of parking bays.

No parking will be permitted along those bays during the scheduled works.

A spokesman said: “The closures will be in effect from 7.30am to 4pm on the day.

“Traffic control will be managed by ministry representatives. Motorists are advised to use Cavendish Road as a detour or to proceed with caution along Crow Lane, anticipating potential delays.”

The ministry apologised for any inconvenience.

Any questions about the road works should be directed to Tina Beer-Searle, the principal highways engineer, on 501-3044.
