Karen Green and David Priebe have joined the Hamilton Insurance board of directors, while longstanding director Bill Freda has retired.

Mr Freda had served on the Hamilton board since June 2014, and was chair from 2017 to 2023.

Chairman David Brown said the new directors’ expertise will provide invaluable insights to guide Hamilton in achieving its strategic goals.

“At the same time, we extend our deepest gratitude to Bill for his exceptional service and unwavering commitment to Hamilton,” Mr Brown said.

Pina Albo, Hamilton chief executive, said the additions reflected a commitment to building a board that is dynamic and strategic.

“I am deeply appreciative to Bill for his significant contributions to Hamilton, which have laid a strong foundation for our continued success,” she said.

Ms Green is the senior independent director of Phoenix Group Holdings, and a non-executive director of Admiral Insurance Group and Great Portland Estates.

Mr Priebe is a seasoned leader in the reinsurance industry, with expertise in capital markets and investment banking. His career spanned more than four decades at Guy Carpenter.
