BNG camp taking place at One Communications
The Bermuda National Gallery’s Art + Techsummer camp will take place at the Victoria Street office of One Communications.
A statement said the company allowed BNG to host the camp at its offices this year as the gallery cannot host a large number of campers at City Hall.
Ciara Eve, One Communications marketing manager, said: “We see the positive impact that BNG has on our community and in particular the island’s young people, not only with their summer camp, but through their educational programming throughout the year.”
Jennifer Phillips, the BNG executive director, said: “As a non-profit organisation, BNG depends entirely on community support to fund every aspect of our operations.
“We are grateful to have One Communications as one such community partner, along with Centennial Bermuda Foundation whose support allows us to provide bursaries for camp spots to students with financial need, ensuring access to art education for everyone.”
Students aged 11 to 14 learn animation, photo-editing and other skills during the camp, which was fully booked within two weeks of registration opening.
An additional beginner animation module will take place from June 30 to July 4.
