List of prohibited entry countries updated
The Government has updated immigration regulations that impose entry prohibitions on nationals from some foreign countries.
The Bermuda Immigration and Protection (Prohibition of Entry) (No 2) Order 2025 was tabled in the House of Assembly today by Jason Hayward, the Minister of Economy and Labour. It came into effect yesterday.
Trinidad & Tobago has been added to the list while a number of countries — including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Benin, Bhutan, Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Philippines, Thailand and others — have been removed.
Nationals from Cuba, Haiti, Ukraine and Venezuela, while still on Bermuda’s visa-controlled nationals list, can land in Bermuda with the issuance of a standard work permit, without a visa condition.
All other nationals from these countries must obtain a multiple re-entry visa.
Nationals from the countries listed below are prohibited from entering Bermuda unless they possess valid travel authorisation to enter and re-enter Canada, Britain or the United States, with such authorisation valid for at least 45 days from their intended departure from Bermuda.
Alternatively, they must possess a letter from the Government confirming that they are a spouse of a Bermudian or that they belong to Bermuda under Section 11(5) of the Bermuda Constitution Order 1968.
