Pink Route ferry returns after mechanical issues
Service on the Pink Ferry Route resumed this morning, the Government announced today.
The service — for Paget and Warwick communities — returned with a revised schedule which is available via the official government portal and at ferry terminals, a government spokeswoman said.
It was announced this month that the ferry service was halted because of “urgent mechanical issues”.
The service was paused for the same reason twice last month and once in February.
Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, said in the House of Assembly this month that the vessels operating the route — the Georgia, Corona and Coralita — were all beyond their intended 30-year design life span.
He said then that when the service resumed, it would operate on a “reduced weekday commuter schedule”.
