David Burt, the Premier, was formally presented a Cup Match ribbon as Family Centre kicked off its annual campaign.

The fundraiser, supported by Clarien Bank, is held to support the charity’s work with families and children across Bermuda.

Sandy De Silva, the executive director of Family Centre, and Jennifer Wild, an executive vice-president at Clarien Bank, attended the Cabinet Office on Friday to offer Mr Burt a red and blue Somerset ribbon.

Mr Burt said: “I encourage members of the public to support this campaign by wearing their team colours and contributing to the Family Centre’s important services.”

Ribbons are available island-wide in team colours, with all funds going towards the centre’s therapeutic and community programmes.
