Traffic diversions are in place in Devonshire after a “serious” collision involving a car and a motorcycle.

Police at 5pm said the crash occurred near the junction of Brighton Hill Road and South Road.

A spokesman advised that westbound traffic was being diverted onto Devon Springs Lane, while eastbound motorists were being detoured onto Tee Street.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
