BTA backs inaugural Financial Literacy Summit
The Bermuda Tourism Authority has signed on as a sponsor of the Lumina Festival’s first Financial Literacy Summit, joining forces with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation to highlight the island as a hub for culture, innovation and business events.
The summit takes place tomorrow from 9am to 5pm at The Shed in Dockyard. It will feature panel discussions, workshops and interviews on entrepreneurship, budgeting and investing, with headline speaker 19 Keys, whose Earn Your Leisure network reaches more than 1.6 million followers.
“We are pleased to support the inaugural Financial Literacy Summit,” Jasmine Furbert, the BTA’s director of visitor experiences, said. “Partnering with the Lumina Festival and the Earn Your Leisure 19 Keys network allows Bermuda to introduce the island to new audiences and highlights the infrastructure and natural assets that make it an attractive destination for conferences and events beyond the summer months. Events like this also showcase Bermuda as a space for culture, innovation and meaningful connection.”
Tickets start at $175 for general access and are available at luminafest.com and ptix.bm.
The event is also supported by the Centennial Foundation, Paradise Mobile, Burrows Lightbourn and Bermuda General Agency.
Launched as a Bermudian-based social enterprise, the Lumina Festival seeks to bridge finance and culture through a blend of education, entertainment and celebration, with the goal of promoting inclusive economic growth.
