Art Month opening show delayed for hurricane

Home-grown talent: Meet Us In The Onion Patch by Jahbarri Wilson is to go on display at The Loren at Pink Beach (Image supplied)

An exhibition marking the opening of Bermuda Art Month was postponed to allow people time to focus on storm preparations.

The event, presented by Masterworks in partnership with The Loren at Pink Beach and the Bermuda Tourism Authority, will now start with the Meet Us in the Onion Patch reception and launch event on Sunday from 6pm to 8pm at the hotel.

Guests are invited to enjoy “an immersive introduction to the exhibition and celebrate Bermuda’s rich creative community”.

Following this, the artist talk Jahbarri Wilson: Meet Us in the Onion Patch will take place on October 22 from 6pm to 7.30pm, offering an in-depth conversation with the artist about his work and inspirations.

A spokeswoman for the BTA said: “The organisers thank attendees for their understanding and look forward to welcoming everyone to these signature events that highlight Bermuda’s vibrant arts scene and year-round cultural offerings.”

Meet Us in the Onion Patch is one of numerous of Bermuda Art Month events happening throughout October.
