Club race to set out in Paget on Sunday
A 5K run scheduled for the Mid Atlantic Athletic Club is expected to affect traffic near the Botanical Gardens on Sunday morning.
A notice from the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said that the MAAC Partner Re Women’s 5K Race will be held between 9am and 10.45am.
A spokesman said: “While there will be no official road closures, motorists are advised that traffic controls will be in place, and delays are possible along the race route during the scheduled event time.
“Drivers are urged to use caution and follow the instructions of police officers and race marshals stationed throughout the course.”
The event will start and end at the Botanical Gardens with racers travelling along several roads in the area including The Lane, Harbour Road and South Road.
The notice said: “The participants turn left onto Berry Hill Road and proceed to the roundabout at Crow Lane. They exit the roundabout onto The Lane and continue along Harbour Road.
“The participants turn left onto Lovers Lane, then turn left onto South Road. They proceed to the Trimingham Road roundabout and continue on South Road.
“They turn left onto Tee Street and then turn left onto Berry Hill Road where they head to the finish line at the Botanical Gardens.”
