from his overseas hideout to appear before the courts.

A Police spokeswoman yesterday confirmed Police were preparing to extradite Travis Dill, formerly of Bob's Valley, Sandys Parish, in connection with the gun hold-up of the Bank of Bermuda in Somerset last year.

"Extradition procedures are in the process,'' said the spokeswoman. "He will be tried on armed robbery on his return.'' Dill apparently left the Island shortly after being interviewed by Police.

At the time of his questioning, there was insufficient evidence to charge the 30-year-old, explained the spokeswoman.

But this is no longer the case, she said.

Earlier this year, Yusef Ameerbakka DeSilva pleaded guilty to his role in the four-man gang attack.

And during Supreme Court testimony against his former accomplices Rupert Elroy Archibald and Michael Eugene Dillas, DeSilva said he told investigators about Dill's involvement less than a day after the failed heist.

Archibald is currently a serving 30-year-prison sentence. DeSilva and Dillas were each ordered to serve 18 years in jail.

Dill's present whereabouts were not disclosed by Police.
