The 2025 Gala of Giving, organised by Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd, raised $400,000 in support of 14 local charities at a sold-out event at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club on Saturday.

The gala, now in its third year, has collectively raised more than $1 million for Bermuda charities since its launch in 2023.

This year’s event brought together about 350 guests, including David Burt, the Premier; executives from 30 companies; and master of ceremonies, Alonzo Bodden.

The evening featured a live charity auction co-hosted by Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, the 2023 Bermudian of the Year. The auction alone raised approximately $150,000 from individual attendees.

Christian Dunleavy, Aspen’s group president and lead organiser of the 2025 gala, said: “We were honoured to build on the foundation established by Conduit Re, and support a cause that not only strengthens the health and wellbeing of our community, but highlights the important role Bermuda plays as a hub for international business.

“Events like the Gala of Giving align perfectly with Aspen’s core values and show that when the industry comes together to lead with a purpose, we can all make a lasting difference.”

The 14 beneficiary charities represented a cross-section of Bermuda’s community support network, including the Bermuda Red Cross, Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Bermuda Zoological Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda, Dementia Bermuda, Family Centre, Friends of Hospice, Home, Patients Assistance League and Service, Meals on Wheels, Saving Children and Revealing Secrets, Tomorrow’s Voices, Vision Bermuda and Waterstart.

Participating companies included the Bermuda operations of Amwins, Amy Kessler, Aon, Arch Capital Group Ltd, Ascot, BermudAir, BF&M/Argus, Conduit Re, Davies, Everen, Fidelis Insurance Group, Guy Carpenter, Hiscox Re+ILS, Howden Re, KPMG, Lancashire Insurance Group, Lockton Re, Miller Insurance, Mosaic Insurance, Simons Foundation International, Teneo and The Waterfront Group.
