Fidelis Insurance Group has appointed William Waddell-Dudley as its new United Kingdom chief underwriting officer.

Mr Waddell-Dudley brings more than two decades of experience to the role, having most recently served as lead underwriter, speciality reinsurance at IQUW, with a focus on marine, energy, cyber and aviation lines.

He previously held senior underwriting positions at AmTrust at Lloyd’s and Talbot Underwriting, and began his career at AIG and Hiscox.

In his new position, Mr Waddell-Dudley will work closely with Fidelis’s Bermuda and Ireland chief underwriting officers to help shape the group’s underwriting strategy and drive innovation in its London operations. He will report to group chief underwriting officer, Ian Houston.
