Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd has announced senior board changes within its Hamilton Global Specialty underwriting platform, appointing new chairwomen for its United Kingdom and Ireland subsidiaries.

Dymphna Lehane has been named chairwoman of Hamilton Managing Agency Ltd in the UK and will also serve as an independent non-executive director of Hamilton Insurance Designated Activity Co in Ireland. Karen Forte has been appointed chairwoman of the Irish company while continuing as chairwoman of the Audit Committee at HMA.

Ms Lehane’s appointment took effect on November 1, while Ms Forte’s begins on January 1, 2026, subject to regulatory approval.

The Bermudian-headquartered insurer also announced the retirement of long-serving chairman, Peter Haynes, who will step down from both boards on December 31. Mr Haynes has led HMA since 2015 and HIDAC since 2020.

Ms Lehane brings 35 years of experience in digital strategy and governance, including as former global managing partner for insurance at Accenture, where she led technology-driven transformation projects for major international insurers. She has also served on the boards of Aviva, Argo International, Westfield Specialty and the UK Cabinet Office.

Ms Forte currently sits on the boards of both HMA and HIDAC. She previously served as chief information officer and transformation lead at Allianz Ireland and has a long record of board-level leadership.
