A man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman.
The 33-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, denied the offence when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday and chose to have his case heard in the lower court.
The defendant, from Smith’s, allegedly committed the offence between December 2013 and January 2015.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson granted the defendant $10,000 bail with a like surety.
The man was also ordered to have no contact with any complainants or witnesses, and the matter was adjourned to January 19.
