Everest Group has strengthened its senior leadership bench with two new appointments set to take effect early next year.

The Bermudian-based reinsurer said Katy Bradica will join as group chief actuary, while Attila Kerényi will take up the role of group chief risk officer. Both will sit on the executive leadership team.

Jim Williamson, president and chief executive, said the pair bring “global experience, technical acumen and strategic vision”, adding that their background in analytics and governance will support the company’s focus on underwriting discipline and long-term value.

Ms Bradica will report directly to Mr Williamson and take charge of the company’s global actuarial function, spanning pricing, reserving and analytics.

A 25-year industry veteran, she previously served as group chief pricing actuary and head of portfolio management at Axa, and held senior roles at Axa XL and AIG. She is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Mr Kerényi, who will report to the group chief financial officer, will lead Everest’s enterprise risk management strategy, including governance and capital oversight.

He joins from Swiss Re, where he was chief risk officer for the property and casualty reinsurance business.

A chartered financial analyst, his prior roles include serving as CRO for asset management and alternative capital partners, with responsibility for credit, market and valuation risk across the group.
