Letter: Broken mirror puts drivers at risk

A broken mirror at the top of Flora Duffy Hill and Middle Road in Devonshire is causing problems for motorists. (Photo by Akil Simmons)

Dear Sir

To Minister of Works and Engineering Jache Adams, there is (oops — was) a mirror at the top of Flora Duffy Hill, which was broken during Hurricane Melissa.

This mirror is needed for those of us coming out of Tribe Road #3 on to Cavendish/ Middle Roads. Without it, we have to inch out on to the main road to see what traffic is coming from the east, or -- if you like -- due to the terrible speeding -- about to hit us.

I appreciate that you have your hands full after hurricanes all over the island, however, due to the safety factor here, I want to ask that you take care of this sooner rather than later.

No need to gift wrap -- we’ll take it as it is!

Thank you and Merry Christmas.
