Polaris Holding Company Ltd has announced the appointment of Craig Bridgewater to its board of directors effective December 31.

Mr Bridgewater, who is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants, brings several decades of local and international finance experience to the board, having served as a partner at KPMG, and more recently, as group chief financial officer of Butterfield Bank.

The chairwoman of Polaris, Cheryl Hayward-Chew, said the appointment formed part of the company’s succession planning initiative. She was pleased to welcome Mr Bridgewater to the board.

Ms Hayward-Chew thanked outgoing director Paul Hubbard for his commitment and service to the company during his ten years on the board.

She noted that Mr Hubbard had been an engaged and dedicated director throughout his tenure and thanked him for the support he was providing during the transition process.

Polaris operates port operator Stevedoring Services, concrete decor and landscaping business Surface Experts, Ornamental Concrete Products, Duck’s Puddle Properties and Equipment Sales and Rentals.
